Keeping Children Safe

It is every child's right to feel safe and to be given a childhood that will prepare them for adult life and also enable them to achieve their fullest potential.   We are all aware of headline cases whereby children in local communities have been failed in this respect.

If you have any concerns about a child you can find out how to act by accessing Bracknell Forest Local Safeguarding Children Board, "Safeguarding Cue Card" http://www.bflscb.org.uk/Assets/safeguarding-cue-card.pdf

We have a duty to report any case where we suspect a child is being abused and whilst we will normally discuss concerns with parents/carers first, we reserve the right to seek guidance on concerns about children in our care and we also have to report immediately of we notice any bruising on an immobile infant.
